I met up with Heidi and Jhonny in Chicago a few weekends ago for their engagement photo session. Their wedding will be in Great Barrington, Massachusetts in July, so it was nice that we got to do the engagement shoot in a more urban area. And urban it was! The lovely couple chose a great beach location with a spectacular view of the Chicago skyline. We even lucked out with Chicago’s notorious early April weather. Enjoy a few of my favorites below, and watch out for some more of Heidi and Jhonny later this summer!

It is time to take a break from posting my blog backlog of summer wedding photos to highlight the engagement photo season. With the final leaves of autumn brilliance finally falling off the trees around here, I want to share this fantastic couple – Kim and Tristan. We recently jumped right from a meeting about their 2013 wedding plans to visiting Washington Park in Albany for a lovely October afternoon of photos.
It would be understatement to say I am really looking forward to their wedding next summer.
Say goodbye to the beautiful Upstate New York fall and hello to beautiful Kim and Tristan…
I met up with Mina and Tobi in late April at the fantastic Boston Gardens for their engagement photo session. The Boston Gardens are a wonderful place for photos, and I think we visited about every possible photo-worthy location within the gardens that day. There were just too many great spots not to pass up – especially when working with the incredibly romantic and into-each-other Mina and Tobi. I barely had to give them any direction because they were naturals when it came to interacting with each other in the ways that give engagement photos that sentimental and lovely feel. I must say I am very much looking forward to photographing them again at their August wedding this summer just outside of Boston!
I just love it when couples add an engagement photo shoot to their wedding photo package. It is a great time to get to know each others’ styles. And wow, did this couple have style!
I joined Melissa and Sam late October at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. (A fabulous space for photos, by the way.) We spent a good hour stopping by all the interesting spots around the plaza and had a little bonus fun with some wet concrete at one point (don’t tell!).
It is just too bad I have to wait all the way until August 2012 for the wedding. It is going to be a great one, I just know.
I spent a lovely evening last week with Jill and Rob to photograph them (and their dogs!) for their engagement photo session. Their wedding is July 10, so look out for more from this great couple later this summer. And if you can find your way to Stanley Park in Westfield, Massachusetts, you should. It is amazing.
I had the pleasure of heading down to Brooklyn for an engagement photo shoot with Tiffany and Rob a few weekends ago. We took advantage of the great graffiti art around the streets of NYC. The wedding isn’t until September, but it got me excited for the busy wedding season which is right around the corner!
